    • 1. Remove red protection film

    • 2. Pull back the tape SLOWLY towards you at a 45° or lower angle!
TIP: Removing the red protective film can be tricky. Grab only the sticky part (glue) on the corner of the FloodTape® and pull on it. The red protection film will separate itself from film and can then be easy grabbed and pulled off the tape.

  • How many FloodTape® rolls do I need to protect my home?

    • Answer: Good question; an average door or window requires about 10 feet of FloodTape® to be sealed off. A garage approximately 15 feet. One roll FloodTape® is 20 feet long. Assuming you have 3 exterior doors on the first floor and one widow exposed to the flood level plus one garage, approximately 3 rolls of the FloodTape® are needed.  Keep in mind protection is needed only for the openings which are prone to flood and the FloodTape® needs to go up only as high as the max expected flood level; usually 3 feet up from the floor.

  • Can the FloodTape® be used with large sliding doors and can it seal the bottom track of sliding doors?

    • Answer: Yes, FloodTape® can seal the bottom track of sliding doors. You just have to make sure you cover the whole track. One thing you can do with long sliding doors and large gaps is to adhere the FloodTape® together. The FloodTape® is double sided. Remove the red “film” for few inches and adhere both sticky sides of the tape together. The special engineered glue of the FloodTape® will fuse together immediately and is a 100% waterproof connection. This is also how you adhere the FloodTape® together on the corners of windows and doors.

    • The FloodTape® works on glass, metal, stucco, asphalt, wood and most other building materials. You can bridge up to 1.5” caps as long as you have 3” or more of tape adhering on each side of the gap.
